Grande National Championship History

In the wake of Bronson Thunderhammer's tragic parasailing accident and subsequent relinquishing of the World's Heavyweight Championship, the Grande National title was one of many which attempted to fill the void and become recognized as the pre-eminent championship in the realms of fantasy professional wrestling. The Great Vanhutzpuh, by virtue of his #1 contendership at the time, was chosen by the VGWA Board of Directors as the first champion

On January 15th, 2012, J.D. Stonewall was found dead of a heart attack in his hotel room. Out of respect, the championship was retired.
